Bend

Kaitlyn Oldam (or Kate) is a queer Jewish interpreter living in beautiful Central Oregon. Kate attended Portland Community College until she graduated in 2020 after an internship with Sorenson VRS. Once the pandemic restrictions were lifted, Kate started working in both post-secondary and K-12 settings. After moving back home to Central Oregon in 2022, Kate has continued working in education, and has started branching into medical and mental health interpreting after obtaining national certification. After working in all of these fields, it's become very clear that the Deaf community graciously allows interpreters into the near and dear times in their lives, and it's an honor to be included.
